(Senior) Creative Strategist – Performance & Direct Response (m/w/d)

HQ, Remote
Full-time
Permanent employee

Good to know...

We're looking for a Creative Strategist to help scale the performance creative engine behind one of the fastest-growing DTC pet brands in DACH.

Performance creative is one of the biggest drivers of our growth. In this role, you'll work closely with performance marketing, content, and production to develop high-performing paid social and advertorial creative.

You'll turn customer research into insights, insights into concepts, concepts into ads, and ads into scalable learnings across the funnel.

Your tasks

  • Live in the customer's head — research is the foundation of everything you make. Mine reviews, ad comments, support tickets, communities, and competitor ads to understand what pet owners actually care about, fear, and respond to

  • Turn that research into customer insight: pains, desires, objections, awareness levels, and the language customers use in their own words

  • Develop creative concepts for paid social and advertorials — angles, hooks, mechanisms, and stories grounded in that insight and in performance data

  • Write hands-on: scripts, hooks, ad copy, and messaging — this is a maker role, not a coordination role

  • Turn concepts into clear, practical briefs for our video editor, UGC creators, and production partners

  • Build and test hypotheses — what to test next, why, and what a win looks like

  • Analyze creative performance (hook rate, hold rate, CTR, CPA, ROAS) and feed insights straight into the next iteration

  • Give sharp creative feedback on cuts and edits so hooks, pacing, and messaging keep improving

  • Contribute to landing pages, advertorial flows, and funnel messaging together with the team

Your Profile

  • 2+ years in Creative Strategy, Performance Creative, Performance Copywriting, or a similar role — ideally in DTC / e-commerce

  • You're research-obsessed: you dig into reviews, comments, and communities before writing a single line, and your concepts quote real customer language

  • You understand customer psychology — awareness stages, objections, emotional drivers — and know how to turn it into angles that convert

  • You've worked on paid social ads and understand what makes creative perform

  • You think in funnels: Hook · Mechanism · Offer · Story

  • Strong creative instincts combined with structured thinking

  • You write — briefs, scripts, hooks, and copy that are clear and performance-oriented

  • Comfortable reading creative performance metrics and extracting insights

  • AI-native, not AI-curious. You actively use AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or custom workflows to improve research, scripting, briefing, and ideation

  • Fluent English. German is a strong plus, but strong DACH market understanding also matters

Your Chances

What you can expect

We move fast, test constantly, and learn through execution. You'll work closely with a highly collaborative team where ideas matter more than titles.

This is a role for someone who wants to sharpen their creative strategy skills, take ownership quickly, and grow alongside a scaling DTC brand.

  • Ownership from day one

  • High creative output and fast feedback loops

  • Collaborative and low-hierarchy culture

  • Flexible office model with regular in-person collaboration

  • 40% discount on all Pets Deli orders

  • €50 monthly benefit allowance (BVG, Urban Sports Club, Spotify, REWE, etc.)

  • Dog-friendly office ????

About us

Pets Deli is the leading premium pet food D2C brand in Germany. Whereas human nutrition has seen a strong development in the past years when it comes to basics such as transparency, sustainable consumption and overall health contribution, there is still a long way to go in the pet food sector. And we don’t just want to be along for the ride here but instead — are heavily shaping this transformation. Our mission is simple and ambitious: create a better world for pet lovers. To achieve this, we focus on three pillars: better and healthier food, informative and educational content and digital services.
